Mitsuo E. Lockrow is the founder of Cambridge Wealth Management. He is responsible for research, wealth and investment management, as well as overseeing all mission-critical operations of the firm.
Before founding Cambridge Wealth Management in 2014, Mr. Lockrow served as a Vice President of Investments at UBS from 2001 - 2013, working in the firm’s Boston and Wellesley, Massachusetts offices. Certified as a Portfolio Manager in the select UBS Portfolio Management Program, he managed institutional and private client portfolios, delivering strong risk-adjusted performance. He also provided investment recommendations and trading services to regional banks and trust companies.
From 1998 - 2000, Mr. Lockrow served as a senior financial consultant at Merrill Lynch’s Albany, New York and Cambridge, Massachusetts offices. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1996. During his tenure, he earned the Certified Financial Manager designation and consistently ranked in the first quintile, achieving Winner's Circle, Executive Club, and President’s Club status.
Mr. Lockrow holds a B.A. degree from the University of Kansas, where he also served as a social chairman and pledge marshal of Theta Chi fraternity and played trumpet in the marching band. After graduation, he continued his Japanese language and culture studies at Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin in Tokyo, Japan. In 2007, Mr. Lockrow completed the CFP® education program at the College for Financial Planning. In 2020, he opted to forgo his CFP® certification and FINRA Series 6, 7, and 24 licenses and dedicate his practice fully to fee-only wealth advisory and investment management that seeks to help client’s prosper by fostering financial harmony.
